MEET OUR TEAM

Priscilla Elizondo, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker | Owner

My name is Priscilla Elizondo, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and proud owner of Calm Corner Counseling Services. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, discover their strengths, and find healing along the way. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in diverse settings, including child welfare, community mental health, hospital case management, and outpatient therapy, supporting individuals of all ages from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

I specialize in working with women experiencing perinatal depression, trauma, and challenging family dynamics. I also have extensive experience supporting older adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, caregiver stress, and the emotional challenges associated with chronic pain or illness.

I believe that even during life’s most difficult moments, healing, growth, and renewed hope are possible. My goal is to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Together, we can explore life’s challenges, develop meaningful coping strategies, and work toward positive change at a pace that feels right for you.

At Calm Corner Counseling Services, my hope is that you find a place where you can feel supported, embrace your strengths, and begin your journey toward healing and growth.

Deborah Black, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

My name is Debbie, and I am an Army veteran and a mother of five children. I work primarily with adolescents and families to improve emotional awareness and understand how dynamics within the family affect individual family members and the family unit as a whole.

All families experience stress, and parenting comes with unique challenges. As parents, our own backgrounds often come into play as we face the challenges of raising children. It is common for past trauma to surface as we navigate the difficulties of parenthood. Families need solutions tailored to their specific needs, and I am here to support you. We will work together to help your family heal and learn skills that allow each family member to grow and thrive. I also do individual therapy with parents and adolescents depending on their specific needs.

I am trained in Functional Family Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Using the principles from these modalities, I will work with you to find hope, build new skills, and have the confidence to move forward knowing that your family can face life's challenges together.

Robert Pulido

Life Coach & Youth Athlete Mentor

My name is Robert Pulido, and I bring over 20 years of experience working with young athletes and adolescents facing personal challenges. Through mentorship, lived experience, and a passion for helping youth succeed, I strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those I work with.

Having overcome significant challenges in my own life, I understand the importance of resilience, self-belief, and personal growth. My approach focuses on helping young athletes develop a positive mindset, recognize and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, build confidence, and navigate the emotional pressures of sports and everyday life.

Through encouragement, accountability, and practical life skills, I empower young individuals to overcome obstacles, strengthen their mental resilience, and work toward their goals—both on and off the field.

My mission is to help young athletes recognize that their mindset is just as important as their physical abilities and that success extends far beyond the game.

Diana Quinones

Licensed Professional Counselor

My name is Diana Quiñones, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), with a background working with young children, adolescents and young adults. In 2023, I earned a master’s degree in professional counseling from Texas State University and am currently working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). In my career, I have worked closely with Child Protective Services and other agencies to provide wraparound advocacy and therapeutic services to families in need.

I specialize in working with children, teens and young adults who have experienced trauma, and impacts related to their experience. I have also worked with caregivers experiencing secondary trauma or who are struggling with supporting their child. I also enjoy working with the Hispanic community and am proud to be able to provide services in Spanish and English to my clients.

In our time together, clients can expect a warm, client-centered approach with an emphasis on working at the pace the client sets. I believe the client is the expert on their own experience, and I serve as a guide providing challenges where needed and working with the client to tackle goals together. I enjoy using Child-Centered Play Therapy to address issues of self-esteem, anxiety, and life transitions with young children. I am also trained in Trauma-Focused CBT, EMDR and other modalities for working with trauma.

Having grown up in the Texas Hill Country, I am naturally drawn to a slower pace of things. I enjoy long walks outside, reading, and spending quality time with my family and loved ones. I value being fully present not only with my personal relationships, but with my clients as well! Together we can create a safe, inviting space where we can celebrate the wins, process and grieve the losses, and work toward becoming stronger.
